Belgrade drug lord Petar Maraš faces off against Red, a ruthless state fixer who pulls the strings of Serbia’s criminal underworld. Their war ignites over a seemingly remote patch of Serbian backcountry with global stakes: a planned gas pipeline route that has US and CIS intelligence already circling. Forced to flee mercenaries, Maraš escapes to Russia, where a chance encounter with special agent Larisa draws him into the shadow of her brother’s death. Now he is a marked man — hunted at once by Serbian, American and CIS agencies, and by every major mafia clan in Southeastern Europe.
