The owner of a uranium mines, Yuri Kobrin is the king of and a God in his hometown, Changadan. His business is constantly growing, and it seems that nothing can stop him. Unfortunately, one day his daughter is found dead, the victim of a ritual sacrifice.
Kobrin seeks out Maxim Pokrovsky, a top investigator from Moscow, and asks him to find the murderer. The city detective faces circumstances in a small northern town that challenge everything he relies on in his work. Pokrovsky has to extricate himself from the tangle of crime, corporate intrigue and the Kobrin family’s dark secrets.
